D’Addario

Experience the rich tradition and exceptional quality of our Primitivo Riserva, a wine crafted for those who appreciate depth and character. This wine captures the true essence of Southern Italy through a careful, lengthy aging process. The journey begins with 12 months aging in traditional terracotta vessels called capasoni. This ancient method allows the wine to mature slowly and naturally, preserving pure flavors. Then, it spends about two years in French oak barriques with medium toasting. This step adds complexity, richness, and smooth tannins, giving the wine its elegant balance. The result is a deep ruby-red wine that catches the eye. On the nose, expect a complex bouquet with scents of overripe red fruits, cherry jam, dried prunes, and dried almond figs. These aromas reflect the careful aging and unique terroir. On the palate, the wine feels full-bodied and rich, with velvety tannins that create a smooth texture. A touch of traditional sweetness lingers, rounding out the flavor with a long, memorable finish. For the best experience, decant or let it breathe for at least 30 minutes before serving. This releases the wine’s full aroma and flavor. Food Pairing: This Primitivo Riserva shines with hearty dishes.
